The real build story.

The irritation

In Arizona, getting into a parked car can mean waiting through an intensely hot cabin. I kept forgetting to start the climate system before leaving for calendar events.

What I built

I connected Google Calendar to the Tesla Fleet API so an upcoming event could trigger cabin pre-conditioning before the scheduled departure.

The hard part

Calendar events change, vehicle actions need secure authorization, and an automation controlling a real object must avoid duplicate or badly timed commands.

Calendar Climate Keeper is retired and remains in the archive as a specific Google Calendar-to-Tesla automation, not a generic weather dashboard.

What stayed

Personal automation is most valuable when it fits an existing habit. Connecting the calendar to the car removed a step I was predictably going to forget.
